Fashion Quarterly
Time is a complicated concept.
It dictates our day as well as our circadian clock; we wake up; go about our busy and eventful day, and finally recede to sleep at night. Repeat again, unless you are a night owl or running off of that venti brewed coffee. And yet, despite the repeating of our daily lifestyles and rituals, we physically, mentally, and emotionally grow and change. It was this train of thought from which I found inspiration for my fifth and final project as Editor-in-Chief for Fashion Quarterly’s Spring/Summer 2015 issue in my senior year at UC San Diego, leading the management, art direction, and production of the publication.
Dedicated to our circadian rhythm exploring how our daily activities and habits can be based on the time of day, and how fashion can reflect the complicated nature of time - the goal for each issue is to be an inspiring and reflective experience for each contributor and reader involved.
Select photography from this issue featuring Adidas by Y-3's Spring 2015 Menswear Collection were also directly requested by the brand and featured on their social media channels.
About Fashion Quarterly
Founded in 2012 at UC San Diego, Fashion Quarterly is an entirely a student-run organization, composed from a talented array of writers, artists, and designers who all share the same vision: to create the content that the community wants to see instead of waiting for someone else to do it. A decade-long experiment, constantly changing and reinventing, but one thing has remained steady: the passion to weave different forms of fashion, media, art, and design into a mosaic of their own creation.
